      Unsafe bar
Went to this bar on Saturday evening (9/22/12) and harassed twice by a black guy and when I went to security the individual harassed me in front of security (supposedly this guy knows the owner) and security ignored my complaint refused to escort this individual from the premises. I felt unsafe in the bar and left. The other bars on church street are far superior to this bar and didn't feel threatened at any of the other bars. Sad to say I would not frequent this bar again and recommend those who do to not confront security if they run into this situation. Surprised an owner would allow this type of behavior within his bar.

      prozac-muzak and retro
Retro Sundays are pretty good, however the front of the bar is music to suicide by (the "lounge") and in the back is the retro dj/dance floor on Sundays. Dress light even in winter, it heats up fast back there. No refuge in front unless you want to dig your eyes out with a spoon because of the "live" music.

      Retro Sundays
The best night at Zippers is Sundays for the Retro music of the 70's, 80's. Avoid on long weekends as the line up is too long and the place gets way too packed.

      Painfully loud retro sundays
Love the place but retro Sundays has become so painfully loud that earplugs are required.

Sunday's are lots of fun! People are friendlier than a lot of places in Toronto too, however this is a big myth too, if you approach people they usually will talk to anyone, in response to a previous comment!

As good as it gets in Toronto
The usual amount of twinks and girls screaming all over the place and pushing people out of the way...but there are some guys in their 30's and older. No way you can meet them but at least there is a place in Toronto where they still can be seen. Staff are unfriendly, but what the hell that is part of TO's charm. If you are from out of town it may be hard to get used to. The music is ok. The dance floor lights are so bright that if you happen to look up as the DJ is spewing out what he thinks is art, you will probably lose your sight. For Toronto it is as good as it gets. As for character and personality....you are in the wrong city for that.

Sunday Night is when I go
Sunday is Retro Night I'm 47 and I like this night because it attracts more people in my age group (although I have seen more younger guys as of late). Also the music reminds me of when I used to go dancing every night of the week. Don't have quite as much energy now a s I did then :)
