Not so nice anymore.
When I was in Toronto on Business on May. 11 I went to Steamworks. It used to be a very nice place but it smelled like pee every place, that's a turn off and not many people there. Guess the only place for me is Spa XS from now on. Sorry Steamworks but looks like you should get your act together and clean up the place.
Beautiful facility, friendly staff but.....
My partner and I used to go to Steamworks....the facility is clean, the amnenities are excellent (the workout area, especially) and the staff is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We stopped going to Steamworks because it seemed to us that on Friday nights nobody was there to have sex. It seemed like everyone was really high and just walking around frantically. The music is teriffic, the rooms are spacious and well-appointed but the lack of action is a "dealbreaker" for us. We prefer Spa XS now that St. Marc's Spa is closed.

never been to one and i would love to see one and have fun there
uptight and strict
the atmosphere depends upon when you visit but i found the staff to be uptight, strict and rude. If your not out by your set time, then they charge you again for your room or locker. They don't like anyone to be having fun on a few drinks so be very careful if you've visited the bars.
