As of today Zelda's has left the village in Toronto.... you can read more online at http://www.xtra.ca/public/National/Zeldaaposs_vamooses-7566.aspx
It's sad to see them go, but look forward to their new home.

Zelda's is a fabulous place to go for a meal before hitting Toronto's gay scene. The food is great, and the outdoor patio provides a great place to watch the gays walk by. The waiter told a hilarious story about showing his junk to a wedding party, and was cute as a button. A relaxed, fun, pink place to eat and drink.

You gotta go to Zeldas when in Toronto. If you don't go you will miss out on the gayest diner in Toronto.

For more than ten years, Zelda’s has been plunk in the middle of gay Canada, and camp is what it’s all about. A gayer place you will not find. What gives it away? Whether it’s the pink flamingo tiki lights, the rainbow flags waving about, the multicoloured tinsel or mannequin parts, the waiters in drag, the trailer trash menus, or the massive cocktails with umbrellas, you definitely are not in or near any closets here! The theme is old school campiness and trailer park humour, and the drinks all come with something purple or blue caracao. Fruity is an understatement- the staff may even be wearing feather boas or plastic fruits glued all over. It’s the best patio in the city, a cheerful and friendly place to bring your fruit fly, resplendent with Black Box and said-era dance grooves, and food that is absolutely fabulous.
So, what do you say?
