Bad service - Refused our reservation

Never stay in this place. Frank was VERY rude by denying our reservation after having us go through the whole process for about an hour, because the credit card was denied once. We used the same credit card without any issue in a hotel, one hour after that. That is no way to treat anybody. From the reservation online to the rude treatment there, it was a bad experience. I am even tempted to say it had a tint of racism. Find a different place to stay.

We'll be back!

We liked everything about 213 Carlton - large, clean rooms, great location. Best of all is Tan's hospitality. He had excellent suggestions for places to see, restaurants and transportation. And his breakfasts are the best. We will call him first the next time we visit Toronto.

A wonderful stay

My partner and I and two other friends stayed with Frank and Tan in September 2007. Both couples stayed on the third floor where we had access to a very nice private deck and a refrigerator. Tan was very helpful with his suggestions about where to eat, stuff to do and how to get around Toronto. His breakfasts are wonderful--order the omellet! When we go back to Toronto again, his and Franks home will be our place of choice Jim and Tom
