Absolutely gorgeous place & the staff could not be nicer! The breakfast was excellent & my room (the Dollhouse) was so nice & cozy! I wish I had an apartment like that when I lived in Toronto. The only downside I found was that the beds were very uncomfortable. For the prices they charge they should be a better quality.

Had the absolute pleasure of spending a couple of nights recently at the Banting House. Without a doubt, I could not have been made more comfortable or welcome. From the minute I pulled into the secure driveway/parking area where I was greeted by the owner, or walked in the front door to be welcomed by the gracious and accomodating staff. The place is quiet, beyond comfortable, and just went to confirm all the good things I've found in a big city bed and breakfast inn. Breakfast each morning was an absolute pleasure I shared with the other guests. And even though it's advertised as gay owned and operated - for gay men, I found the presence of two straight couples very pleasant. We openly enjoyed each other's company at various times. But the staff politely told me that I was sharing the upper floor with another male guest, so I was welcome to make myself at home and not worry about what I wore - or chose not to wear while traveling around the spacious shared bath, hallway, and sitting room area. I can't wait to visit Toronto and the Banting House again, and cannot recommend the place enough to travelers tothe city - gay or straight. It's an excellent bargain at a more than reasonable price.
