Glory Hole has been taken over by HER!
Join us for a retrospective of poster art created by Adam Moco and Mark Pariselli for HER, a queer house and disco dance party thrown by Frank Griggs from 2010 to 2014.
Photographer Adam Moco first discovered his passion for the craft as a model working and traveling overseas. Moco’s deep love for travel, endless pursuit of self-discovery and innate desire to explore human connection are the driving forces behind his photography. He graduated from Humber College and one of his most notable projects is the portrait series, Tryst Pic. His latest photographic endeavour, Bare, takes an unfiltered, uninhibited perspective on the beauty and vulnerability of the male body. Moco currently resides in Lisbon, Portugal where he has been performing and flourishing in the Drag scene as Miss Moço.
Mark Pariselli is an award-winning writer and director. He graduated magna cum laude from York University with a BFA in Film Production. Retrospective programs of his short films have been presented in Toronto, Sicily, New York City, and Montreal. He has served on the juries of the Sicilia Queer Film Festival, ImageOut: The Rochester LGBT Film & Video Festival, and Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival. Pariselli is currently developing his first feature.
HER was a monthly house and disco dance party thrown by Frank Griggs from 2010 to 2014 at La Perla on Queen Street West in Toronto. A talented lineup of DJs and drag performers, an inclusive and positive vibe, and original poster art created by Adam Moco and Mark Pariselli brought HER lots of love over the years from the Toronto queer communities.
The exHERbition at Glory Hole Gallery is a celebration of the creativity that Moco and Pariselli brought to the party, and is the first time their images are being shown outside the context of a poster or flyer.
