Join The Vegan Baking Group on Sunday July 24th for a visit to the Toronto Bakers Market! The TBM is a new monthly event for the summer that showcases treats from local bakers, including vegan, raw and gluten free items. For those who are curious, we'll meet at the market at 1:30 at the Ralph Thornton Community Centre (765 Queen St. East) and then take our treats to enjoy at nearby Jimmy Simpson Park.
Of course, you can bring along your own creations, but if you'd like to take a break from your ovens you can let the vegan bakers at the market do the work for you! Please note: while the market makes an effort to have vegan bakers present, not all the vendors are vegan, so be sure to ask before purchasing.
Date: Sunday July 24th
Time: 1:30 for the market, 2 pm for the park
Where: Ralph Thornton Community Centre, 765 Queen St. East
Jimmy Simpson Park, Queen Street East and Booth Avenue (we'll find a spot south of the tennis courts)
If anyone is looking to have lunch in the neighbourhood, Pulp Kitchen Juicebar & Healthy Eatery and Tabülè Middle Eastern Cuisine are both nearby.
Pulp Kitchen offers a discount for Toronto Veg Card holders, so if you are not yet a member of the Toronto Vegetarian Association, now's a good time to sign up!
Hope to see you there!
