Downton Abbey Day

On Saturday, June 25 at Toronto’s William Ashley (55 Bloor St. W., in the Manulife Centre http://williamashley.com), we will be co-hosting Downton Abbey Day, an occasion in which fans of the show are invited to swing by and soak up everything Downton. This free and elegant, fun event is open to everyone, especially those who are not shy about delivering Dowager Countess quips at a moment’s notice. During Downton Abbey Day, fans will learn how to dine Downton style, find out what it takes to host an amazing afternoon tea and scope out eye-popping period fashions, courtesy of vintage clothing experts Pearls & Pockets and Dear Hazel May. If you have deep “Downton Abbey” knowledge, also be sure to participate in the trivia challenge, as plenty of great prizes will be up for grabs. Speaking of special prizes, attendees will be able to enter a draw to win a Chinese Bouquet Rust Herend tea set ($900 value) or a Blue Italian dinnerware set by Spode ($750 value), as seen on “Downton Abbey.” You do not want to miss out on this opportunity! What’s more, free refreshments and cake (courtesy of Select Bakery) will be on-hand, as well as a classic car for photo ops. The fun begins at 12pm local time and runs until 3pm.
