He has been on the forefront of many important movements in dance music over the last ten years. He was a part of the multi-genre style of DJing that catapulted his adopted Philadelphia to the pinnacle of the DJ world in the early 2000s. As a part of the duo RCMP, his work foreshadowed the emergence of Nu-Disco before the genre even had a name. As alter-ego Michael The Lion he is pushing the boundaries of funk in modern dance music. He is an internationally renowned disco edit-maker, appearing on records alongside Todd Terje and Tom Moulton. He has officially remixed global stars as diverse as Wiz Khalifa, Todd Edwards and Gregor Salto. He is a founder and executive of Young Robots Records, dishing out debut records from Solidisco, Nicos Gun, Fashen and more. **** Originally from Vancouver, Mark Penner (aka Cyclist) holds a successful all-disco residency with A Digital Needle at Toronto's Beam Me Up party. Here he has played alongside the likes of Al Kent, Kon, Psychemagik & Eddie C. With RAC's Karl King he launched the record label MANI / PEDI Records in 2013.
