Curator Dainesha Nugent-Palache is currently seeking artworks by (queer) emerging artists dealing with themes of identity, nationality, and diaspora to be shown in an exhibition at Xpace Cultural Centre, June 24-Aug. 6, 2016.
The direct focus of this exhibition is the threat of discrimination, violence and imprisonment due to the intersection of one’s queer identity, culture, or nationality, with the intent to uncover and expose the often hidden faces of queerness. Existing pieces and works in process, in all mediums will be considered. Works must be ready for exhibition by June 10, 2016.
Deadline: Midnight, Monday January 4, 2016.
