One was kind of heart, but had a tongue like acid. The other was wicked of mind, but said only the kindest things. They ruled a land of alternating hellish heat, and frigid frost. One day these Mothers were spending a day in the sun. The first Mother leaned closer to the second and declared, “My dear, I fear your hat is casting an awful lot of shade.” Meaning of course that the largesse of this hat was going to keep her from taking in the nourishment of the sun. But, alas, interpretation is everything. The second Mother smiled politely, removed the hat, and then began to plan the torturous downfall of her rival. And so it was that she convinced her rival to co-host a party of some renown. Where the second Mother would take revenge for her disparaged and maligned hat. She issued a proclamation across the realm to all the Children of the land. “Come out, come out – the time of tyranny is about to pass. Come out, come out – bring thine own self forth with all your sass. Come out, come out – the time of the two Mothers is about to pass! Come out, come out – let us show her that she is an ass!” The Children of the land read these words and knew trouble was afoot. So they donned their gay apparel and prepared themselves for battle. The honour of their loving Mother was in jeopardy! They must defeat their rivals in the games of the party. Will you choose the way of the wicked, or the path of the pure? Do you choose the hat, or the hatless? How will this fairy tale end? Categories (in order): 1. Face When the Mothers are at war, the only peace is beauty. Can you be beautifully wicked in all black, or are you simply wickedly beautiful in all red? 2. Best Dressed The time has come for the most fashionable creatures, the elves, to declare their allegiance. Present yourself in all white or all black with pearls to match. 3. Hairography The Darkness always keeps their hair loose to hide their evil thoughts, while the Light braids it tight to remind them of their path. Will you whip it evilly, or dip it for good? 4. Realness FF Realness - Are you an apple eating damsel in distress, or the poison wielding wench who put her there? Show us your apple, or your bottle of poison. MF Realness - What kind of Prince Charming are you? The kind that looks for a love of a lifetime, or the kind that looks for a love of the minute? Wear a heart shape for one, or a broken heart for the other. 5. Bizarre Mirror mirror on the wall. On which side of the fray do you fall? A spirit of the mountain breathtaking and tall, or a totem of the swamp ugly and small? 6. Fag Out Rumplestiltskin has the fabbest lisp, but his extended family is even gayer. Queen out as one of his evil aunts in something green with envy. Or as his goody two shoes uncles in something yellow with joy. 7. BQUIP The centaurs have long been the Royal guards. The clip clop of their hooves has long been feared. Bring it in an animal print pump to show us your colours. Are you a loyalist, or will you switch up your look after your 10s to betray your Mother and swing to the wicked side. 8. Runway Even Red Riding Hood and the Wolf have been forced to choose sides. Can you be found wandering the forest wearing fur like a hero, or sporting a bloody red cloak like a villain? 9. Performance The fairies are feeling it, the love a good battle! the blue water fairies have aligned with the side of the right, while the red fire fairies picked the side of the wrong. In teams of two, in red or blue, fling your fairy dust on the runway! 10. Sex Siren Everyone knows that witches have kinky sex lives. But are you the naughty kind of witch that seduces in skintight leather, or the nice witch who seduces in sheer fabrics and lace?
