The Little House That Could - Film Screening and After Party
Friday Mar 7, 2014 7:00pm-3:00am in Toronto
NOTE: Doors are at 7pm with the first short film being shown at 8pm. After-Party will begin around 10pm immediately following the feature screening. Reduced drink prices and complimentary snacks available until midnight.

Join LA-based Toronto-born filmmaker/DJ Mars Roberge as TX Productions presents an intimate screening of his acclaimed documentary film, "THE LITTLE HOUSE THAT COULD". The film takes a behind-the-scenes look at the life of Emmy Award-winning stylist Patricia Field, and her motley crew of personalities. Prior to her Sex and the City fame she spent several decades saving lives and giving hope to lost outsiders who society frowned upon--transsexuals, club kids, drag queens, gay teenagers, butch-dykes-people who needed to escape from their hometowns because they were never understood. This is the story of a close-knit unconventional family in New York City--the House of Field--who have single-handedly changed music and fashion for the world several times over. Their story is one of courage, hope and dreams. This screening is going to feature a brand new improved sound mix never heard before, improved colour-correction, and rare still photos by Tina Paul.
Cameos by Amanda Lepore, Codie Ravioli, Armen Ra, and Patricia Field.

We're also screening two short films. Cassandra Cronenberg's short film "CANDY", direct from the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. Touching on love, sex, money, and art, Cassandra Cronenberg directs this formally daring inventory of human transactions, which tracks a young woman’s journey through an intoxicating sleepless night. Also don't miss "LIFE'S A DRAG", directed by Jaene Castrillon, and featuring Toronto's luscious lovelies Judy Virago, Nancy Bocock, and IGBY Lizzard from the House of Filth.

There will also be a one night exhibition of art, featuring Mayra Majano and Karen Klucowicz (bio below)
