Theme: Families
• What ideas come to your mind when you think about family?
• How do you imagine your relationship to "family" changes as an LGBTQ person?
• What do you think about the idea that LGBTQ people can form a "chosen family" of friends?
Whether we are visiting our families over the winter break, or are unable to visit them for a wide range of reasons, many people have families on their mind this time of year. Let's come together and discuss our ideas around family, and how we can imagine our future as queer and trans people are forming families in a wide diversity of ways.
We want to welcome everyone back for the Winter term with some coffee, tea, snacks and discussion together. For this first week back, our regular hosts Scott and Kathy from the SGDO will facilitate the discussion, but everyone is welcome to bring their thoughts and ideas to share. We look forward to seeing everyone back after the break!
