At the heart of Toronto's Pride Week stand the members of our LGBTTIQQ2SA communities.
Each year the collective creativity, talents and energy of these communities come together to wow the world. This year's theme is "Celebrate & Demonstrate."
The 32nd annual Pride Parade will be held on Sunday July 1st, 2012, starting at 2pm at Bloor & Church.
Pride Toronto, as the organizer of the Pride Parade, encourages everyone to have an open, tolerant and supportive attitude. After all, the parade is not only about Pride in your community, but celebrating diversity and the variety of life in Toronto while respecting subtle differences amongst its citizens and visitors, and creating an inclusive experience for all.
Pride Toronto encourages participation by all groups, be they community groups, businesses or organizations. This year, Pride Toronto celebrates 32 years, while reflecting on the past, and building for a future.
Pride Toronto pays tribute this year to Goran Mileti, the Programme Director for the Western Balkan States of the Civil Rights Defenders, an international organization that aims to defend peoples civil and political rights, and empowers human rights defenders at risk. Join us as we stand in solidarity with 2012 International Grand Marshal, Goran Mileti as he leads the 2012 Pride Parade to fight human rights violations against queer and trans people in Western Balkan countries, and Southern Eastern Europe countries.
